Microblading typically lasts 6-18 months. For clients with oily skin, results normally last around 6-12 months. For clients with normal to try skin, results normally last 12- 18 months. Lip blushing normally lasts 1-3 years. Annual microblading and lip blush touch ups are recommended to revive color.
Microblading is defined as "a semi permanent technique for enhancing the appearance of the eyebrows, in which pigment is scratched into the skin in fine, short strokes resembling hair, using a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles."
Permanent makeup will remain beautiful and last much longer if spf is applied regularly and any abrasive facial treatments on the treated area are avoided. I recommend lip blush clients to use an spf chapstick after their lips are healed to extend the life of their treatment. PMU brow clients can use our “Brow Immortelle Serum,” a natural SPF and hydrating serum that helps your PMU last longer (found on the “Shop BBK Beauty” tab). Tanning beds and unprotected sun exposure should be avoided at all cost if you have permanent makeup to avoid the pigment turning ashy. Hyaluronic acid, glycolic acids, and Retinoids (topical acne medicines such as tretinoin) should be kept off of the treated area after having your brows or lips done to prevent premature fading.
No. Every attempt is made to retain all-natural eyebrow hair and add the semi-permanent design as naturally as possible. In some cases, where altering the shape of the natural brow is required, a few hairs that fall outside of the desired shape may need to be removed to create a clean and aesthetically pleasing result.
You must be 18 years or older to receive permanent makeup. Individuals that are pregnant or nursing, are prone to keloids, have a pace maker, or are currently going through chemotherapy can not have permanent makeup done. Those with hyper pigmentation in their lips are not good candidates for lip blushing. If you have a nickel allergy, we suggest you take an allergy test prior to receiving microblading or lip blushing.
I recommend shading to anyone who is trying to make their brows appear thicker or longer than they naturally are, or have patchy eyebrows, in order to blend the areas where the natural hair is present into where it isn't for a more natural look! Microblading alone provides a very soft and natural look. Adding shading can give you more of a defined and slightly darker/ bolder brow.
Our Cosmetic LED Teeth Whitening Service uses a natural hydrogen peroxide gel, that when used with our professional LED light, removes years of surface stains, and whitens teeth back to their natural bright, white color. Our most popular session, the 80 minute session, gets your teeth up to 10 shades whiter in just one session! Vitamin E is used on the gums and lips to create a barrier between the LED light and your gums/ lip skin to completely eliminate any sensitivity. LED Teeth Whitening uses no bleach, is more affordable and comfortable than bleaching treatments at the dentist, and is faster and more effective than at home whitening kits.
Yes! Only new, sterilized, single-use, and disposable blades and needles are used for each client at Brows By Kaliegh. Medical grade sterilization and sanitization is performed throughout the studio before and after each client. Permanent makeup simply adds a thin layer of pigment right below the outer layer of your skin that gradually fades away as your skin exfoliates over time, safely and effectively.
